Hey, I have a question or rather, a suggestion.

Could we maybe make it a habit that, for particularly popular raids, those who receive an invitation and can create an RSVP themselves would then start an RSVP and invite 5 more people from the waitlist?

That way, the opportunity would keep spreading: one person brings 5 people, who can each invite 5 more, and so on. In my opinion, this would give significantly more members the chance to participate in popular raids, and the waitlist would clear up faster.

What do you think of the idea?

Here’s the trick, you make an RSVP and invite your initial 5 people. When 1 joins, you leave it but rejoin to add 5 more people. You can keep doing this until you have a decent amount of people

Personally I prefer an RSVP because then I know when the RAID starts rather than sitting around waiting for a raid I know nothjng about and often times don't even get the invite for.

The problem is, you want to raid rn and invite people but they go RSVP and not to the lobby.
I often host regional raids without participating myself. If I invite 5 people and 1 or more end up in RSVP, the battle might fail. So if you are invited to the lobby please get in the lobby. If you want to invite your own friends do the RSVP quickly and go back to the lobby.

Yes, here’s what I’m thinking: For example, if I invite you to a raid in Germany and you accept, it should be possible to create an RSVP for it. Then, you create an invite lobby via 9DB and add the five people from the RSVP to it. Those five people can then each invite five more players.

Let’s take the Rayquaza raids as an example: This way, theoretically, 500 or even more players could participate in a single raid.

Of course, this tactic has the downside that the players hosting the raid might end up with fewer remote raiders. But I think that will even out over time. Once good etiquette becomes established, players would prefer a direct raid invitation and join that instead of waiting for an RSVP.

Yeah, I understand the issue with the limit on remote raiders, but 10 people are actually more than enough for most raids ;)
