    It’s the star next to your name, the more raids you host the higher the GL (game level) or minipoke points

  whats the deal with the star number next to trainers names? I've hosted a few, and joined a ton of raids on here. but i still only have a '1'

    You don’t get a point by joining raids. I believe you need to host at least 10 raids to become star2.
